As followers of Christ we can’t live always wondering why. We just know that God is amazing and all He did for us by sending Christ is enough. If we truly focus on heaven we should just be glad in all situations and use all our hills and valleys to glorify God. With that we need to continue to thank Him for everything even when we feel weary. Nothing is better than eternity with the Lord so we need to work our hardest to learn and grow to be like Christ.
In chapter 12 at the end of verse 1 and all of verse 2 it says; “…And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.”
It is going to be a long journey of always giving it to God. I love that it tells us “run with endurance,” and that we do it by “keeping your eyes on Jesus.” Just when we get in our self pity of why did that happen remember we have been given a gift that can lead us to eternal life. It is for everyone, but everyone won’t take it. It said that He “endure the cross, disregarding its shame”. We need to disregard the shame of what we want in this world and focus on the amazing life we have in Christ. Open God’s word and continue to review the love that He showed for us and be truly thankful in all situations. Amen
