“So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders.” Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, so that as long as the sky remains above the earth, you and your children may flourish in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors.”
We need to take this attitude when living our life and celebrating the Lord in our home. The world and the things of it will be plastered all over, so we need to make sure we see reminders of what God says and how God wants us to live. The more we see and are reminded of His ways the more chance we have for transformation, which should be our goal.
Verse 22 goes on to say, “Be careful to obey all these commands I am giving you. Show love to the LORD your God by walking in His ways and holding tightly to Him.” When we hold tightly to Him we are living by His love and we start to have peace and understanding in this crazy world. The more we see His word and start to know His word the more we can grow, and we all need to be growing everyday, so we can live as a light in this dark world. Again, the world won't stop happening, we will see things that are no good for us, if we don't continue to fill ourselves with His truth daily we can get overcome by this world. We start believing what we see and hear the most and we get warn down, so putting His word around so it is seen and doing all we can to remember what it says is vital to our walk. Because our walk is so we can be an example to others, it is not just about us. His truth leads to life, let's be set free and know it so much it changes the way we live, think, and act. Amen
