“The Lord our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions.”
This was an eye opener for me today, we always want to focus on what we don't understand, we need to stop and focus on what He has shown us and then do it. If we spent our time taking the commands of Jesus and worked on living them out, the things we don't understand wouldn't consume our thoughts. Also, as the word says in Matthew chapter 25 verse 23, “The master said, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’” When we are successful in little actions God has shown us people can see the difference and they get intrigued by our lives.
When we try and do too much, and we don't live it very well, we don't shine as bright as we could. God wants us to know Jesus, His one and only son, as our Lord and Savior. As we work on that, our belief should turn to a desire to belong to the family, then our actions lead us to be the hands and feet of Jesus. That means getting in the game and making things happen. Be in a church you love so you desire to be the church and invite the unchurched around you. Get in a lifegroup or small group, so you can build relationships and grow together. Serve in a ministry, becoming part of the solution and helping do the work of the ministry. Jesus came to serve and show what it is like to love, let's not worry about the things we don't understand, do the things we do.
I want to end with these scriptures, Matthew chapter 22 verses 37-39 “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Amen
