Do we try and live our lives on our own, thinking I can do this or that? It is so easy for us to use our own strength when we are struggling, we work hard trying to help ourselves but it always seems worthless. We have accepted the Lord and He has covered us, we just need to surrender and truly live without thinking, what I can do.
In Isaiah 59 verses 1-2 it says, “Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is His ear too deaf to hear your call. It’s your sins that have cut you off form God. Because of your sins, He has turned away and will not listen anymore.”
We need to realize it is not God that separates it is us. Do we believe that this is not our home and we will have our true home in heaven? If we do we need to understand that God’s word is real and living out what is says is what we need to do. Faith in all that God has done is easy to say but difficult to live out.
I love what it says in Colossians chapter 3 verses 15-17, “And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Let the message about Christ, in all richness, fill your lives. Teach and council each other with all the wisdom He gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.”
Surrender and do not try and live on your own, God is amazing and Christ is the only example to follow. Amen
