Romans 8:11 NLT

“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.”

This is important for us to see, the Holy Spirit will raise us and give us life. This life is not only for eternity but for our days on earth.  When we surrender and stay quiet enough to hear the Holy Spirit, that's exactly what will happen. Our lives are being changed everyday by what we learn in His word, are we listening? When it says we are new creations, are we living that way?

I want to grow everyday to be like Him and in doing that I must believe the Holy Spirit was given to me when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Look at Ephesians chapter 1 verse 13 which says; “And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, He identified you as His own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom He promised long ago.” Let's not forget this and stay stuck in our thoughts of who we were, let's keep seeking and celebrating that because of Jesus we are new.

We don't have to look back, we can fix our eyes on Him and know that Jesus, after being raised, has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us. In John chapter 14 verse 26 it says; “But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—He will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.” It also says in John chapter 16 verse 13, “When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own but will tell you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future.” So we have what we need by God, are we willing to be led and not have all the control? Can we say not my will God but yours? It is our responsibility to have a relationship with Him and be apart of what He has promised, so let's keep growing and let's stay focused on all that He has for us. Amen

James 5:19-20 NLT

"My dear brothers and sisters, if someone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back, you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back from wandering will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.”

We are a team working together to show God our love, we need to continue to sharpen iron with other believers so the devil doesn't get hooks in us and has a foot hold. The devil has one purpose and that is to get us loving someone or something more than God. God's love is unconditional but ours is not, when we forget our relationship with Him the devil creeps in and works. In John chapter 10 verse 10 it says, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy..." It is not just to make our lives miserable, it is to steal, kill, and destroy. Those are things of death and not life.  The word says to "choose life" so as we surrender our will and get to know and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, He comes and fulfills our lives.

John chapter 10 verse 10 finishes like this, "...My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” He will never forsake us but we still have the responsibility to choose Him and truly believe He is who He is. Look at what Paul says in 2 Timothy chapter 2 verses 11-13, “This is a trustworthy saying: If we die with Him, we will also live with Him. If we endure hardship, we will reign with Him. If we deny Him, He will deny us. If we are unfaithful, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny who He is.” He is God and we are not, He will always be there for us, but denial is real and He won't make us do anything. We are in this together so stay strong and know where our strength comes from. It says in James chapter 4 verse 7 says, “So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Seek and we will find, don't sit idle because the ruler of this world is working and plotting to steal, kill, and destroy us. When we know Jesus, He knows us, it not about saying the correct things, it about living out what we believe and growing everyday to be like Him. John share this with us in 1 John chapter 2 verse 15 “Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.” We must be aware, renew our minds daily and be ready to say yes and amen, knowing that Jesus paid it all for us and He has washed our sins and will bring us home. Our choosing life is real so let's keep our eye on Him and feel the joy and peace we can only get from Him.  Amen
