Grace - Titus 2

Titus 2:11-14 NLT
“For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.”

This is exactly how this country was founded. We have let this evil world penetrate this country by shining a light on sinful behaviors that should never take place. People can choose to live the way they want but we, as one nation under God, should stop promoting it and making it seem normal. We are called to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures, not promote them on TV, movies, and schools. To push the LGBTQ movement is to purposely cause sin to be accepted, and that is not good. If people choose that way of life, that is their choice, but it should never be acceptable as a way of life. God loves us all and He showed us all grace by sending Jesus to die for us while we lived in our sin, but we can be new in Him. See, we started this country with the belief that we needed God so we set it on the morality that God shows.

“We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.”

He is our hope and strength as we all fight our flesh and worldly struggles. We can stand strong because we have been given the gifts needed to say no to this world and yes to Jesus.

Titus 1:15 NLT
“Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted.”

Open up and see the mercy that He shows us all and how when we let Him in He floods us with what we need, we just need to grab it and use it.

Have a great day and choose life.

Titus 3:3-5 NLT
“Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other. But— When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.”

Hebrews 10

Hebrews 10:26-27 NLT
“Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies.”

We don’t make up what is right, He has shown us the sin that keep us stuck in this life. When we deliberately keep doing what we want because we feel ok with it, there is nothing Jesus can do. It even goes as far as if you think you should do something and do it, it’s a sin. Jesus paid a high price for all to live as citizens of heaven on earth, and then to extend it for eternity, all we do is choose Him and not this world.

Hebrews 10:29 NLT
“Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us.”

When we push our flesh and our desires we trample on what God did for us and feel as long as we appear to be good we are good. Good has never gotten anyone to heaven, understanding we die to self and live for Christ frees us to live fully devoted. We can’t let our selfish desires make us blind to the sacrifice that Jesus made and the Love He showed by doing the Fathers will and not His own.

Hebrews 10:35-36 NLT
“So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.”

We need to see that Gods will is perfect and we can only do it when we let go of ourselves and follow Him fully. Amen
