Romans 8:35,37

“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.”

We cannot change what He did, that was because He said ‘not my will but yours’ to the Father. Through Christ, that is staying connected to the vine, we have overwhelming victory. No matter what people do to us, say about us, His love covers us in this temporary home called earth. His love doesn’t change, we must understand we can change. The things that He listed in that Scripture are what others are doing to us. It says: “Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?" Those aren’t things we do, those are things others do to us. Jesus make this statement in John chapter 14 verse 21, “Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”

We need to seek, and accept Him and believe and have faith, then stay connected to the source of our power, Jesus. This is done by us having a relationship with Him and is devoting to follow Him. In Romans it continues on and says in verses 38-39 “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” See this, God is love and because He is love, He can only LOVE!

He loves us no matter what are choices are, separation and denial or acceptance and faith. John chapter 3 verses 16-17 says, “For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.” We have to go through Jesus to connect to the Father, if we don’t, God still loves us! We don’t need to be lead by our sinful nature, we can be lead by the Spirit. Keep walking it out daily and keep growing so we are ready for anything that will try to change our minds.

If we stay connected, nothing will succeed, if we disconnect we will wither and die. Those are words right from Jesus! Let’s not get caught up in the separation, let’s keep focused on Him and feel that love that will bring us home. Thank you God for the love and strength you sent in Jesus, help us to see that it is through Him we are saved. Amen
