“This amazed them. But Jesus said again, “Dear children, it is very hard to enter the Kingdom of God.”
This verse just keeps me thinking. Humanly, if we don’t accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, then surrender to God’s will we will always struggle. It has to be a God thing that moves us, or our actions will still be from our flesh. We will try and ok all the things that our flesh wants to be good in our walk, but we must say, not my will be done, but yours. The way we do that is by seeking Him daily and asking Him to change our hearts. When we have the faith to let go and grow we are moved and we keep seeking Him for answers. In chapter 10 verse 27 it is written. “Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”
We must understand that the things of this world that we love doesn’t mean they will be acceptable to Him, we must seek what He shows is in the Bible and then live that way. This is clear in Matthew chapter 6 verse 33, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.” It is not hard because God made it that way, it is hard because Adam and Eve were disobedient and sin entered the world. With that came our freshly desires and our love for things. Nothing we have is ours, it is all Gods and we are here to do the best we can to follow Jesus fully and shine a light for others.
Salvation can come from no one but Jesus, know Him so much that it becomes natural to follow Him. Satan, the ruler of this world, is working on us constantly to keep us from knowing Jesus fully, so be strong in the Lord and say, get behind me Satan. John chapter 10 verse 10 says, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” Satan will use every tactic to keep our focus off of Jesus and on this world; our kids, our money, our health, and our freedoms, but we must say no to this world. Look what it says in Romans chapter 13 verse 14, “Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.” Keep working hard to grow and learn, knowing that Jesus is the only way to heaven and we must stay connected to the source to reap all the benefits of knowing Him. Amen
