‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:19-22‬ ‭NLT‬‬
“For God in all His fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through Him God reconciled everything to Himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. This includes you who were once far away from God. You were His enemies, separated from Him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now He has reconciled you to Himself through the death of Christ in His physical body. As a result, He has brought you into His own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before Him without a single fault.”

This has so much for us to celebrate, we are given a chance to know Him and be one with Him. Jesus was sent to bridge the gap to the Father and we are blessed and able to accept. Verse 19 is amazing to me, “For God in all His fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through Him God reconciled everything to Himself." See Jesus did nothing without God telling Him so that oneness drove Him to live, and we have that same chance when we believe in Jesus. We can be one with Him and fully connect with the Father. It says, “He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.” What an image of communion, we take it in remembrance of this fact and celebrate our union.

The fact that this is for everyone is exciting, none of us were too bad in our sin, God is waiting to say welcome home. Drop the past and the struggles, (which I believe can only be fully dropped when you build a relationship with Jesus,) He is our strength and helps us say, get behind me satan, when we feel like going back into the world. His blood makes us whole! Easter is coming and it is amazing that we see His three day journey that guides us. His death, burial, and resurrection. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love the last part and I hope everyone does with me, “Yet now He has reconciled you to Himself through the death of Christ in His physical body. As a result, He has brought you into His own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before Him without a single fault.” Without fault, the past is gone and we can be holy because of Jesus. Amen, Happy Easter to everyone. Love you!

Mark 5

Mark‬ ‭5:2-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“When Jesus climbed out of the boat, a man possessed by an evil spirit came out from the tombs to meet Him. This man lived in the burial caves and could no longer be restrained, even with a chain.”

This man was a mess and possessed by evil but when Jesus climbed out of the boat this man came out to meet Jesus. Even this possessed man wanted to meet Jesus, we need to have that same desire. We all, no matter where we are in life, need to desire to meet Him. He desires a relationship with us and wants us to know Him, what’s the hold up? With a desire to do something comes a delight in doing whatever to make that happen. Think of this: “God is fully complete without us, yet desires relationship with us.” Pastor Muriithi Wanjau. As we grow in wisdom we should also grow in excitement, which should move us to honoring the Lord.

Look at the next part of these verses in Mark‬ ‭5:5-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬, “Day and night he wandered among the burial caves and in the hills, howling and cutting himself with sharp stones. When Jesus was still some distance away, the man saw Him, ran to meet Him, and bowed low before Him.” He didn’t wait for Jesus, he ran to meet Him, even with the evil in him. How much more should we seek Him and run to Him? Jesus is amazing and we should have this uncontrollable feeling. Even if we feel unworthy to run to Him, but too often we run away. See the evil spirit couldn’t control the desire to honor Jesus but wanted nothing from Him so we see him ask not to be tortured. ‭‭Mark‬ ‭5:7-8‬ ‭NLT “With a shriek, he screamed, “Why are you interfering with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In the name of God, I beg you, don’t torture me!” For Jesus had already said to the spirit, “Come out of the man, you evil spirit.”

We as believers must continue to ask, seek and knock so when we feel at our lowest we want His help and the help of others around us who are believers. I love what Paul shares in ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:18-19‬ ‭NLT “Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory He will reveal to us later. For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who His children really are.” When we think our life now is temporary and are focused on what is yet to come we allow God to transform us into the new creations we are. This man that was possessed and now free, he was excited to be with Jesus and we see his reaction in ‭‭Mark‬ ‭5:18-19‬ ‭NLT, “As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon possessed begged to go with him. But Jesus said, “No, go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful He has been.”

This lights a fire in the man and he shares with everyone. ‭‭Mark‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “So the man started off to visit the Ten Towns of that region and began to proclaim the great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed at what he told them.” Sometime Jesus asks us to come and sometimes He asks us to stay, be good with anything He ask and let the excitement and desire of shining His light lead us to listening (obeying) all He says. Amen
