Matthew 20:31-34 NLT
““Be quiet!” the crowd yelled at them. But they only shouted louder, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!” When Jesus heard them, he stopped and called, “What do you want me to do for you?” “Lord,” they said, “we want to see!” Jesus felt sorry for them and touched their eyes. Instantly they could see! Then they followed him.”

This is the part we neglect, our part. Jesus came to serve and lay His life down for all, we just need to want Him. They wanted Him and they weren’t afraid to let people know. Don’t wait any longer, today choose Him, desire Him and be free. Confess that you are a sinner, repent of your sins and accept Jesus as Lord, shout out I need you. Then surrender your will and lay your life down for Him. We have to die to self and live like Him, a true Christian, Christ-like. Amen

2 Peter our desires are trouble

2 Peter 1:4 NLT
“And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.”

Only through Him can we escape our own sinful desires. We want whatever pleases us so much that we will do anything to make our sin accepted by us and the world. That is why we need to seek Him for truth and let that truth set us free.

He gave His blood to cover our sins, don’t fight to keep living with the earthly desires that make us sin. Let Jesus in and follow Him to correct and moral living.

2 Peter 1:5-9 NLT
“In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone. The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins.”

He loves everyone and wants us all to understand He has opened up so we can let go of our sinful desires and anything that is morally wrong. We will all fight our sinful nature until we accept Jesus and surrender our control.

Think of moral excellence and how much this temporary home would function smoothly with the biblical morals this country was found on. Let’s stop giving into our fetishes and bring back morality.

2 Peter 2:7 NLT
“But God also rescued Lot out of Sodom because he was a righteous man who was sick of the shameful immorality of the wicked people around him.”

He has rescued all of us by sending Jesus to die for us, accept Him and be free of this corrupt immoral living and see what love can truly do. Amen

Jude 1:4 NLT
“I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.”

There is no, and will never be a progressive Christianity that God is for. Jesus was sent for us all so we could understand God’s love and be given what we needed, forgiveness of sin. He showed us grace and then showered us with mercy so we could go through Jesus the spotless lamb of God. He is the same yesterday, today, and always. Marriage is between the only life giving connection; male and female. Any other thought of marriage is immoral. God created us to be binary, you were created a male or a female. There is no non binary. To think we are someone we are not is letting fantasy guide you and that is dangerous.

They used to say people were born that way but new studies have shown it’s what happens after they are born that drives them to this mental illness. It should be treated as such and not catered to by making them believe it’s ok. To live by your pronouns and to make others live by them is just not right. We are creating people that will excuse their perversion so they can live our their immoral lives. We used to protect the kids against these predators now we want to make excuses and let them believe it is ok. Stop letting people be driven by their mental illness, we need to work on ways to help them, and care for them, but we can’t applaud them. Age fluid is a new one that says you are whatever age you feel that day so adults that feel they are a kid can play with young kids. Sickness, and we are letting it be the norm. Stop all this sexual perversion, trans and pedophilia and non binary, and believing you are an animal and whatever else people are trying to push. We need to stop and work on helping them.

We can bring God back and the values this country was set on by bringing back His truth and not caving to the pressures of this world. Amen

Matthew 9   Mercy

Matthew 9:13 NLT
“Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.””

This is key for all of us. Until we understand we are sinners and need a savior we will struggle and be okay in our sin. We will tell ourselves that it feels right and we deserve this or that. Mercy is given because God loves us but those who think they are righteous don’t want mercy because they want to live for themselves. Look at the people in this next town and how they struggle with Jesus healing these demon possessed men.

Matthew 8:28-34 NLT
“When Jesus arrived on the other side of the lake, in the region of the Gadarenes, two men who were possessed by demons met him. They came out of the tombs and were so violent that no one could go through that area. They began screaming at him, “Why are you interfering with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before God’s appointed time?” There happened to be a large herd of pigs feeding in the distance. So the demons begged, “If you cast us out, send us into that herd of pigs.” “All right, go!” Jesus commanded them. So the demons came out of the men and entered the pigs, and the whole herd plunged down the steep hillside into the lake and drowned in the water. The herdsmen fled to the nearby town, telling everyone what happened to the demon-possessed men. Then the entire town came out to meet Jesus, but they begged him to go away and leave them alone.”

Isn’t it strange how the people feared these men but wanted Jesus to go after He cast out the demons. So many of us want our fears gone but are afraid of what will happen if they are gone. All in all we fear truth and fully letting go of ourselves. We don’t want our sin to be a problem, we like living for our pleasures and it keeps us from the mercy God wants to show. And miss that God is our shield.

Psalms 7:10-11 NLT
“God is my shield, saving those whose hearts are true and right. God is an honest judge. He is angry with the wicked every day.”

When we understand how good God is and that He loves us and has put everything in place to save us, we can see the shield as help and it will deflect this worlds lies. Then mercy can be received and given to all people like God planned. Amen

John 3 - Decisions

John 3:19-20 NLT
“And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.”

We want what we want and think that anything else is taking our freedom. We need to realize the love God showed by sending His Son, the light, that actually makes our lives more free when we surrender and obey. All that is set up for us will benefit us and keep us living with joy as we pass through to get home. Our evil desire are everything that we crave, sexual impurity, greed, jealousy, hate, anger, and bitterness. When our thoughts are on satisfying ourselves we don’t understand the light and we fight it so we can ok our selfish desires.

 John 3:36 NLT
“And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.””

Our obedience shows our belief, when we live the way we desire and forget the values and the morality God has shown us we stay far from Him and we press into the dark. God wants all of us to repent and turn to Him, He has given us everything so we can die to self and choose the Light, it is freeing. Amen

John 5  -  Jesus gives us eternal life

1/9/2023

John 5:39-40 NLT
““You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me! Yet you refuse to come to me to receive this life.”

Love isn’t tricky, God so loved the world that He gave. We love by giving ourselves to God, when we have done this we can love others. Loving God mean obedience to Him, loving others is knowing truth and not accepting anything but it. When we love, we share His truth and help people see Jesus the Son.

John 6:27 NLT
“But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you. For God the Father has given me the seal of his approval.””

That is why we keep seeking Him and we never stop growing. The more we dive in the more we grow and our maturity for Him moves us from death to life.

John 6:38-40 NLT
“For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will. And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them up at the last day. For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.””

It is for all but we have to see that God did everything for us to choose Jesus as Lord and Savior. We study His truth and that truth leads us to Jesus who is the Bread of life. Then we devour Him by studying the Word and knowing Him fully. When we do that we die to self and no longer live to satisfy our flesh. Do you see the difference, the world wants us to love ourselves over Jesus. God draws us to love Him through Jesus, and gives us the Holy Spirit to fill us to fullness. When we love it will never be accepting our will, it will be surrendering to do His. Take the bread of life and eat and drink freely and then we will be living on earth as it is in heaven. Amen

Living  free  from  self

 Psalms 32:1-2 NLT
“Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty!”

When we can let go of our need to please ourselves, we can see the joy of our new lives in Him, free from sin because of our repentance. We don’t have to live holding on to the selfish things we lie to ourselves about, we confess them and start to live for Him not ourselves.

Psalms 32:3 NLT
“When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long.”

This is an unsettling feeling when we choose to live for us and not the Lord, when we confess it frees us from our control and make us live with joy.

Psalms 32:5-7 NLT
“Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Therefore, let all the godly pray to you while there is still time, that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment. For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory.”

There is a release of self that is needed to be born again and when we start by knowing we are sinners and need a Savior and Lord we can start to feel that peace. All people are created in Gods image, we all have the free will to choose Jesus, when we don’t there is a stirring that's in us and it breeds discontent.

Romans 1:26-28 NLT
“That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved. Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.”

When we live for ourselves and what we desire and there is a disconnect that is unsettling. We fight and argue to make it seem right but it’s unnatural and will always keep people confused.

When we see Him as our Lord and Savior we can function in freedom and fullness.

Psalms 32:7-8 NLT
“For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”

We never have to worry, we are protected and will be guided to right living, praising God.

Psalms 32:10-11 NLT
“Many sorrows come to the wicked, but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the Lord. So rejoice in the Lord and be glad, all you who obey him! Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure!”

In this temporary home we can rejoice and feel His love that is the only way to understand true freedom and complete joy in a crazy world. Don’t live by the worlds lie of self promotion but understand the new life that God so freely gives so we can get through everything the devil tries to keep us with.

Thank you Father for sending us your Son and giving us all we need to be successful. Open my heart so I continue to pray and seek all of your strength. Amen

Revelation  - Blessed

Revelation 22:7 NLT
“Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book. ””

Faith is what drives us to right living. Fighting for our desires leads to death and separation.

 Revelation 22:14-15 NLT
“Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life. Outside the city are the dogs—the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie.”

Outside are the ones that have to live their will instead of Gods. They need to make everything about themselves, not who God created them to be. Those who wanted the physical and their flesh to be what drives them, not how God created the basic things in life. Marriage between and man and a woman, and gender, Male and Female. The world pushes and pushes until we accept sin. Just because we accept something as truth doesn’t mean it is truth. We are in the story of truth we are not the writers of the story. Keep focused on Him and be a part of this amazing relational journey. Amen

Grace - Titus 2

12/29/2022

Titus 2:11-14 NLT
“For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.”

This is exactly how this country was founded. We have let this evil world penetrate this country by shining a light on sinful behaviors that should never take place. People can choose to live the way they want but we, as one nation under God, should stop promoting it and making it seem normal. We are called to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures, not promote them on TV, movies, and schools. To push the LGBTQ movement is to purposely cause sin to be accepted, and that is not good. If people choose that way of life, that is their choice, but it should never be acceptable as a way of life. God loves us all and He showed us all grace by sending Jesus to die for us while we lived in our sin, but we can be new in Him. See, we started this country with the belief that we needed God so we set it on the morality that God shows.

“We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.”

He is our hope and strength as we all fight our flesh and worldly struggles. We can stand strong because we have been given the gifts needed to say no to this world and yes to Jesus.

Titus 1:15 NLT
“Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted.”

Open up and see the mercy that He shows us all and how when we let Him in He floods us with what we need, we just need to grab it and use it.

Have a great day and choose life.

Titus 3:3-5 NLT
“Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other. But— When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.”

Hebrews 10

12/27/2022

Hebrews 10:26-27 NLT
“Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies.”

We don’t make up what is right, He has shown us the sin that keep us stuck in this life. When we deliberately keep doing what we want because we feel ok with it, there is nothing Jesus can do. It even goes as far as if you think you should do something and do it, it’s a sin. Jesus paid a high price for all to live as citizens of heaven on earth, and then to extend it for eternity, all we do is choose Him and not this world.

Hebrews 10:29 NLT
“Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us.”

When we push our flesh and our desires we trample on what God did for us and feel as long as we appear to be good we are good. Good has never gotten anyone to heaven, understanding we die to self and live for Christ frees us to live fully devoted. We can’t let our selfish desires make us blind to the sacrifice that Jesus made and the Love He showed by doing the Fathers will and not His own.

Hebrews 10:35-36 NLT
“So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.”

We need to see that Gods will is perfect and we can only do it when we let go of ourselves and follow Him fully. Amen
