This really made me think this morning about truly giving my life to God as Jesus did. When we suffer and go through our pain and still praise God because we have fully surrendered, our faith is solid. Then the peace we get from God covers us and we continue to look through God’s eyes. You realize that God is the only comfort you need and you look for Christ’s help always. Then your heart is full and as it says in verse 2, “you won’t spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God.”
I love verse 19 which says, “So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for He will never fail you.”
Never is a long time, we must remember that it will be God’s way and we are to jump on and fight the good fight. When we fully surrender and forget ourselves we see God at work and God’s word opens up and is so real.
Verses 12-13 says, “Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad for these trials make you partners with Christ in His suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing His glory when it is revealed to all the world.”
Transform and surrender live as Jesus did fully obedient to the Father. Amen
