I like this because it reminds us that the more we do something good and live as Christ did the more it becomes natural for us. It says, “Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent.” Continue to grow everyday and ask God for more by showing Him your maturity. This happens by living a life of faith and total surrender to God, with everything that happens both good and bad in our lives. Everything we do should be done to glorify God; this will show people that God is first in our lives.
In chapter 6 verse 19 it says, “This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.”
We don’t need to do it on our own, Jesus showed us the way, and we just need to follow it. Continue to fill yourself with what is true and seek all wisdom from God and you will feel the joy in all circumstances. I love the verses in 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 which say, “We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Through suffering our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.” As Paul did we also need to surrender all to God through Jesus Christ. Amen
