This was written by Jesus telling people they will be hated and even killed because they were following Him. But look how amazing what He says in 19 is, “By standing firm, you will win your souls.” We need to love God with every part of us and work on filling ourselves with His wisdom and love. When we do that we can truly be fully devoted followers of Christ. In the book “When God Writes Your Life Story” Leslie Ludy writes, “As I abide in the presence of my King, a holy instinct guides my steps.” I like this because it is so true. As we draw closer to God we are full of the Holy Spirit and we function as we should without thinking. We naturally do what is right and our hearts are full. Oswald Chambers wrote this after he realized he was going through the motions of his Christian walk. “When you know what God has done for you, the power and the tyranny of sin are gone, and are replaced with the radiant, unspeakable joy of Christ dwelling within you.” Is Christ dwelling within us? He should be when we choose to be baptized and repent of our sin. Our focus should be off the world and on what the word of God says. It is not just a book of stories; it is the inspired word of God given to us so we can always have a relationship with Him. Open it and talk to Him, ask, seek and knock in all areas of your life. Don’t try and do life on your own. Amen

Isn't it nice to know that when you truly love the Lord with all your heart, soul and mind, that you are never alone, no matter what you are going through. The Holy Spirit is right there with you and is guiding you and protecting you no matter what is going on in your life. It is so wonderful to be a child of God. I don't know what I would do without him.
